Google has just updated its own Youtube app for Android to version 5.1.10, bringing improvements to the menu, added Google Ads, video notifications, new “front page”, improved the adding to favourites and added a feature to delete history right from the app. One of the mayor changes in this update is the added Google Ads, there will not be ads displayed in your youtube feed. The ads will come in form of “featured video” (as shown in the image bellow)
As of now the new update is rolling out and there is no official change log, but thus far we know they have made those improvements. You can download the new version of the app on the Play Store. We have put together a gallery featuring the new modifications in the app:
