According to a new report from the Korean Media, LG is working hard on rebuilding its long lost semiconductor business and over the next couple of months, will start manufacturing its own mobile processors.
According to the report, LG’s first device to include its very own CPU could be the LG G3. All though according to the leaked benchmarks, it doesn’t look like it, we could see LG take the same approach Samsung made by releasing devices with different chips in the US, UK and EU then in countries like South Korea.
LG isn’t going to stop just there, it will also make its chips available to other manufacturers which can then use it in their own devices, just like LG is working hard on releasing the G3 to stay competitive in the market, it is expected that the South Korean electronic giant will reveal its plans on making its own chips as soon as Q2 2014.
