Samsung introduced the Gear 2 during MWC 2014 in Barcelona but a new smartwatch from the technology giant will be revealed during IFA 2014, sources have told the KoreanHerald. The upcoming smartwatch will be bundled with the new Galaxy Note 4 which is also expected to be revealed during IFA 2014, which will take place in September.
Samsung appears to be in kind of a “rush” to release the new smartwatch just before other technology giants like Apple, Motorola and LG are expected to release their own. The new Moto 360 and LG G Watch will both run on Android Wear it is yet unknown if the Gear 3 it will run Tizen or Android Wear. Analyst claim we should “not expect the next Samsung Gear to be equipped with a curved display like Samsung’s Gear Fit smartband.”
