So it looks as if LG’s curved smartphone the LG G Flex is making its way to Europe as LG has begun sending out invitations to an event in Hong Kong to announce the phones international release according to The Telegraph
AT&T, Sprint and T Mobile are all said to have plans to stock the LG G Flex from the end of next year in America while Orange’s French division will begin selling the handset next February. There’s no word on whether the handset will make its way to the UK but hey, if the French get it then hopefully it’s only a matter of time before the Brits do too.
“I cannot name names, but we are discussing the release of the G Flex with several mobile carriers,”
said Kwon Bong-seok, head of the Product Planning Group of the MC Division of LG Electronics at an event disclosing the G Flex. “We are going to export it to the US, Europe and Japan.”
The G Flex’s talents extend beyond the strange shape of the device. The handset is the world’s first smartphone with an elastic coating on the rear which can self-repair any small scratches without the user having to replace the it. The device also features a 6 inch 720p RGN OLED display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 13 megapixel camera. There are already several rumors detailing to the successor of the LG G Flex called the LG G Flex 2 which will feature a “true flexible screen”
