It hasn’t been long since LG announced its first curved smartphone the LG G Flex, which is as of now only available in South Korea. Sources familiar with the matter have confirmed to ZDNet that LG is already working on a successor for the curved smartphone which will feature a rubber back panel and a flexible display so the smartphone can be curved into a 90º degrees angle. LG has been working on flexible batteries for some time now which we will most likely see in the new LG G Flex 2, the smartphone will most likely run Google’s mobile operation system Android.

LG choose to instead of making a faster version of the current LG G Flex it will improve the current flexibility of the smartphone, however the LG G Flex 2 will feature a faster processor then its predecessor. Sources have also confirmed to ZDNet that LG has already started mass production of the product in its plant located in Paju. The LG G Flex 2 is expected to be announced in 2014.
