Apple announced during its October 16 keynote that it would release iOS 8.1 on October 20th 2014 and it has just released the promised iOS 8.1 update with a ton of new features, improvements and bug fixes. The update with build number 12B11 will become available on all devices that have the ability to install iOS 8.0. Lets take a closer look at all the improvements and changes Apple has made in iOS 8.1

- Apple Pay support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (US ONLY!)
- Camera roll is back in iPhotos app
- iCloud Photo library is in beta
- New alert will be displayed if you run low on space and are recording a timelapse video
- You can now send and receive text messages from your iMac or iPad
- General iMessage bug fixes
- Airdrop support added for passbook
- New option allows you to select between 2G, 3G or LTE networks for cellular data
- You can now enable dictation in settings for keyboards
- Healthkit apps are now enabled.
- Resolves issues with Wi-Fi performance when connection to some base stations
- A ton of bug fixes
