Sick of the Android homescreen? Nokia might be able to help you out as the recently acquired by Microsoft company just launched its new Z Launcher for Android which focuses on bringing the apps and information to you in the fastest way possible.
The launcher also introduced several new features like Scribble, which allows you to access an app or contact by drawing the first letter of the specific contact or app. Here is how to install it:
- Head over to the official Z Launcher website (important: must be done from an Android browser)
- Press on the “download Pre-beta release”
- Log into your Google Plus account
- Download the launcher
- On your Android device, set up the new launcher and make sure to tap the Always button
- Reboot your device
The launcher is currently not supported on Rooted devices and is optimized for the Nexus 5, Galaxy S5, S4, S3, Moto X, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z1
