In Google’s new version of Android L it has made several improvements to the keyboard. Currently Android L developer preview is only available on the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013) but you can now install the keyboard on any device running Android 4.0+

- Head over to the Play Store and Download the app
- On the command key of your old keyboard, hold it down
- Click on the little “settings” icon that will appear
- Navigate to Other Options > Advanced Settings
- Look for the label that says “color scheme”
- Choose the option called “Material”
This should turn your keyboard looking into something like this:
