Google has recently started rolling out Android 5.1.1 to the Nexus 10 and Nexus 7. While the update contains many bug fixes and small improvements we don’t expect Google to roll out this update to any other Nexus device soon.
Cyanogen has just released CM12.1 20150507 Nightly based on Android 5.1.1 which means that by installing the latest Cyanogenmod 12.1 Nightly you can install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on your device. Android 5.1.1 CM 12.1 Is compatible with the following devices:

How to install Android 5.1.1 CM 12.1 on any device
- Make sure you download CM 12.1 20150507 for your device
- Head over here to download Gapps for Android 5.1.1
- Connect the device to your computer
- Move the .zip files downloaded previously to your smartphone’s internal memory
- Once done, unplug your device
- Turn your smartphone off and then back on into recovery mode
- from recovery select “wipe data factory reset”. Then pick “wipe cache partition”. Finally choose “advanced” followed by “wipe dalivik cache”.
- Then choose the “install zip from SD card” option and install the Cyanogenmod .zip file
- Once done, you can install the Gapps to get your Google Apps
- You have now successfully updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop (CM12.1)
