Before getting too excited, we have to inform you that this isn’t an app on the Apple TV instead it is an app for iOS.
AirWeb is a $0.99 app for iPhone and iPad that allows you to browse the web similar to how Safari works but automatically connects to your Apple TV and will show a full-screen web browser on your Apple TV. The app is fully optimized for a great browsing experience while you control what happens through the touch screen of your iPhone or iPad.
Apple doesn’t have a browser app for its streaming device the Apple TV and as of now we don’t know when it will get one, AirWeb is currently the best solution and is definitely worth the $0,99.
Like previously mentioned, you can easily control the browser using the touchscreen on your iDevice, the image above shows the different gestures you can make which honestly are incredibly intuitive. What makes this app better then Safari? The fact that it is optimized for the Apple TV will remove the black squares you get when using Safari and instead will make full use of your screen.
