Google‘s Play store has passed Apple‘s App store downloads with 10% more downloads currently sitting at 110 billion downloads while Apple is at 100 billion.
Non the less Apple’s App store revenue is 2.3x higher then the Google Play store Appannie reports, most downloaded apps on the App store are games taking over 40% of the downloads on second place is Entertainment and third place Photo & Video. On the Google Play store the most downloaded are Games, on second place Communication and third place Tools.
Apple and Android are currently the 2 manufacturers that have the biggest market share, with Android dominating with over 60% of the market and Apple 20%.
