Google has just updated its Google Drive app adding support for Apple’s own Passcode in version 3.0 of its app. The update came right after Google announced it had released 2 new apps on the App Store which are Google Docs and Google Sheets (Google Slides will be “coming soon” according to Google). Here is the full list of changes:
- Passcode Lock: Protect your Drive using a 4-digit passcode
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
Both of the apps have support for Passcode and allow you to access your Documents and spreadsheets stored on Google Drive from your iPhone. Drive is Google’s own cloud service which gives you up to 15GB of free storage.
The reason why Google has added support for Passcode is to make access easier for you but still hard for unwanted users, instead of having to retype your password over and over again you can now simply unlock all of your data with a 4 digit code.
