Apple has just confirmed in a press release that the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be available in the Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Thailand on October 25 at 12:00AM in the UK, and 01:00AM across other European launch countries. The iPhone 5S has a incredibly successful launch weekend selling more then 9 million units while the iPhone 5C did good too, it wasn’t as successful as the iPhone 5S. Tim cook (CEO of Apple) made the following statement
This is our best iPhone launch yet—more than nine million new iPhones sold—a new record for first weekend sales, the demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.”
The iPhone 5S will cost 699€ while the iPhone 5C will come 100€ cheaper at 599€ (without contract) with contract the iPhone 5S will start at aprox. 300€. We can expect more information regarding prices and carriers that will sell the iPhone’s on the October 22 Apple keynote
