New pictures released by Chinese news website Donews claim that the new iPad Mini 2, which we will most likely see getting introduced at the October 15 Keynote, will have Touch ID and there will be a golden version. Just like the iPhone 5S the new iPad mini 2 will come with Apple’s latest fingerprint scanner, allowing users to unlock their device and make purchases using their fingers.
As of now, these are all just rumours, but it seems like a very likely thing to do for Apple since the Gold iPhone 5S has been a huge success selling over 9 million units in its opening weekend, which is 4 million more then the iPhone 5. the Touch ID feature also been received very well. The fifth generation iPad will most likely also be available in gold and with the new Touch ID.
