Most flagship devices in 2014 and upcoming ones in 2015 are waterproof or water resistant these days, Specially Sony with its Xperia line of devices of which most are water resistant and a few are even fully waterproof like the Sony Xperia Z3. LG doesn’t have a history of making waterproof or water resisting phones, even though the LG G3 was “partially” was resistant.
Is the LG G4 Waterproof?
The short answer is No, the LG G4 is NOT Waterproof. In order for a smartphone to be waterproof it needs to have a higher then IP67 or IP68. Unfortunately, the LG G4 doesn’t have an official IP rating which means it is not resistant to dust, waterproof or even resistant to water. Not only does the device’s hardware get destroyed by it but also the leather casing that can be purchased with the LG G4. Some other smartphones that are waterproof are the following:

Is the LG G4 Water Resistant?
While most flagship smartphones are water resistant, the LG G4 is NOT Water Resistant. In order to be water resistant the LG G4 would require an IP rating of at least IP61 which makes it dust resistant and protected against vertically falling water drops (rain). Currently the LG G4 doesn’t have an IP rating which means it isn’t dust or water resistant.
