$100 Nexus smartphone to include 64-Bit SoC

Previously we published an article regarding Google working on a $100 Nexus smartphone using the new low-priced sillicon chip from MediaTek. Now a new report from UDN claims that the smartphone won’t only cost $100 but will also be the first 64-bit Android Smartphone as it will include the 64-bit version of the new MediaTek SoC, it is yet unclear if it will be the dual or quad core version. (the MT6732 or MT6752)

The budget Nexus device could be Google’s attempt to get back in the Chinese market since it left it in 2010. The new budget smartphone won’t replace the upcoming flagship smartphone the Nexus 6, but it is expected that Google will reveal both devices later this year.
